Our Story
The Orchard House is set on almost 2 acres of mature landscaped gardens, nestled privately in an orchard, neighbouring many vineyards in Cromwell. The rural landscape with mountain views means there is no shortage of natural beauty, but still within walking distance to town. We offer two custom built luxurious, light and spacious rooms upstairs, each with ensuite and french doors to bring the outside in.
A shared kitchenette and dining area is available where you can enjoy breakfast or make a cup of tea or coffee anytime of the day. Downstairs is your entrance and sitting room, separate to the main house.
Our garden has plenty of places to relax with a book, as well as a private garden with BBQ faciltiies for our guests to enjoy. Or, you could take a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Lake Dunstan and enjoy a stroll along the waterfront, or explore the Lakes Dunstan Trail by bike. If you would like to explore the Vineyards of Cromwell, our Property borders the ‘4 Barrels Walking Wine Trail’ where you can walk and enjoy Misha’s Vineyard, Aurum Wines, Scott Base and Wooing Tree Wines.
Or, why not take a short drive to the Cromwell Heritage Precinct which offers an abundance of history and charm set on the lake front. Our Cromwell Accommodation is located in the heart of Central Otago allowing you many places to visit and limitless activities during any season. The room rate includes a delicious continental breakfast, with an assortment of organic fruit grown onsite (when in season).
