Today we said our farewells to a great mate and an all round good bu**er.
John, from Nic and Lem, and the old Merrylees crew, we thank you for all you did for us over the past 7 years and your help with our annual Hunt competitions.

You were one of a kind, and your humor, amongst other things will be greatly missed. Rest easy and you will always be remembered 💜

A huge thank you to all our locals over the past 7 years. We have made so many friends and will treasure those friendships for life 💜

We welcome the new owners, and are here to help for awhile. All staff are staying so there's familiar faces around the pub.

PLEASE we ask that our locals give them a chance, we know it's change, but don't be so harsh and you'll find they are lovely people.

They don't want to make any changes and want to continue the same service, sponsorship etc that we have provided.

Well I guess our job is done, we have brought the old tired Merrylees back to life and poured our heart and soul into it, pretty much not a surface we haven't painted or carpeted or redecoratd. Now it's time for a rest and see what our next chapter brings.
