Evanesco, Hogwartz!
Dear everyone,
It is with considerable sadness that we would like to inform all our wonderful Dobbies, our past visiting wizards, witches & warlocks as well as a few muggles and the odd dementor that dear old Hogwartz is no more. Due to viral new forces in the universe which have halted international travel to Aotearoa, we reluctantly decided to use the vanishing spell on our beloved hostel, leaving just an ordinary building which a new custodian took over last week.
It has been an immense pleasure to host all of you, and we feel very lucky to have been able to enjoy so many fantastic encounters over the past 16 years. We will truly miss the interesting visitors from all corners of the world, holding especially dear our amazing staff whom we had the privilege to get to know through the seasons. And we must not forget to mention our trusted and dearly beloved furry companions Bella, Asterix and Tinka who, sadly, have all passed now but who will always remain a big part of Hogwartz in our memories and in our hearts (RIP, dear Tinka 🐾).
Alas, we believe in the saying “when one door closes, another opens”. New adventures await, but the past 16 years will always remain magical to us, and it is with great love and gratitude that we farewell all that is Hogwartz! 🧙🏻♀️
