That's a wrap for Sports Camp 2026!

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that made this event happen!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteer referees, cooks, youth group leaders, Columba staff & gateway students, Gore Multisports Complex staff, Out The Gate Worship, The Bunker for lending mountain bikes, our speaker Richard Pasco, Sports Camp Coordinator Emma Wilson and most importantly God!

Also, a massive congratulations to Calvin Community Church's Momentum youth groups for taking out first and second place!

🏆 What an incredible weekend of sport, friendship, and fellowship!

Our 2026 Youth Group Sports Tournament was one for the books. With 11 teams, 9 youth groups, and 135 young people representing Invercargill, Gore, Cromwell, Queenstown, Wānaka, and Dunedin, the weekend was packed with competition, laughter, encouragement, and countless memorable moments.

From hard-fought games and last-minute victories to new friendships and meaningful conversations, there were simply too many highlights to fit into a single post. Instead, we've put together this video to give you a glimpse of what made the weekend so special.

A huge thank you to all of the players, leaders, volunteers, referees, supporters, and churches who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, we're thankful to God for the opportunity!

It’s crazy to think that this time next week we will be in the middle of our Youth Group Sports Camp! Here are a few pieces of useful information for those coming along:

Camp starts at 7:00pm on Friday the 29th.

Lastly, if you still have friends from your youth group yet to sign up, follow up with them and have them sign up asap so avoid missing out!

Join us for a week full of fun, adventure, and connection at Camp Columba, running Monday to Friday during the second week of the Term 2 school holidays for 6-13 year olds.

🕗 Daily Schedule:
8:30am – 3:00pm each day
📍 Based at Camp Columba , 89a Kaiwera Road RD 2 Pukerau

💰 Pricing Options:
• Single Day – From $50 per day
• 3-Day Deal (Mon–Wed) – From $120
• Full Week (Mon–Fri) – From $200

🚌 Transport from Gore Trout:
• Departs at 8:30am, returns at 3:30pm
• $10 per day – Limited spaces available

Crazy to think it has already been two weeks since our Madagascar Senior camp. We had such a great time together having turns on the Zipline & flying kiwi, playing some crazy wide games, eating delicious food and listening to some epic messages! Check out these highlights!
