Resurfacing work along High street Greymouth.
If you live in area , or have a business that has been affected by the ongoing work then have your say on this post.
Being a business owner who lives on-site in the affected area I'm not too happy with the timing of the work ! Starting work around 8pm and working through the night till 5am !
This has affected me personally with not being able to sleep and the guests in our motel (and other motels along high street ) having the same issue.
We have guests that have left early because of the noise and others that have commented that they would not come back !
The noise and timing of work are the issue,
Personally we had no notification of the work program and fulton hogan have apologized for this.
I have suggested some alternative options to Transit through there contractors around the timing that could be put in place ie start time and traffic control measures to make the timing work.
And they have explained there stance , which is pretty much (it's our way or the highway )
I'm sure there are a lot of others that are not happy ,
But don't want to rock the boat.
We are bareing the brunt for the benefit of all !!!
