Situated right on the waterfront in Halfmoon Bay, the South Sea Hotel is the ideal base for exploring Stewart Island. With traditional hotel accommodation, modern Studio Units, the South Sea can arrange accommodation for a range of budgets and requirements. The downstairs bar is ideal place to chat to locals and find more out about the island; the photos on the wall show the interesting history of

the island and its industries. Local seafood, some of the best Seafood Chowder in New Zealand, a range of local wines and beers and friendly staff make the restaurant a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning views across the bay. For early risers, the upstairs balcony is perfect for enjoying the famous Stewart Island sunrises.
