KAKAPO LODGE HANMER SPRINGS YHA BACKPACKERS Kakapo lodge is a family friendly backpackers only a 2 min walk from the hanmer springs thermal pools. We have a nice sunny court yard where you can chill out.

Kakapo lodge has a range of rooms from dorms private doubles/twins and ensuite rooms.

Well it is our last day at Kakapo Lodge tomorrow. After 5 years we have decided to go and do something different, not 100% sure what that is yet but we are looking forward to a bit of a break before we make up our minds. We have met some lovely people during our time at Kakapo and we will miss catching up with you. We wish the new owners all the best for the future and hope that you will continue to enjoy Kakapo Lodge.
