Only hours to go before the Alpine Winter Festival - Hanmer Springs kicks off! 😍❄️🌟

We are keeping an eye on the forecast for Wednesday nights free star party 🥳 We will keep you all updated on our page.

Things to know:

Please dress to the conditions, jackets, hats, gloves, bring the works! The warmer you are, the more enjoyable your night under the stars will be.

Meet at the carpark of Hanmer Springs Animal Park at 7.30pm, gates close at 7.45pm.

There is a short walk through the park.

We will provide red light torches upon entry. Please avoid any white or blue lighting, this will affect your vision & the vision of those around you.

Make sure to grab a free ticket on your way through for some spot prizes throughout the night 🌙

We’re reaching out to let you know a couple of things that will be happening at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa over the next few months.

Entire Complex Closure on the 14th and 15th of May
On Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th of May, the entire complex will be closed to the public. This also includes The Spa, Information Centre and Tea Kiosk Café & Grill. The Spa and our Lap Pool will also be closed on Monday 13th May.

The reason for this closure is that we need to replace our bore pump. This is the pump that is currently drawing water from approximately 90 metres underground and sending thermal water up to the surface, and into our pools.
It is an essential piece of equipment, and being so far underground and needing full replacement alongside work on the pipes, it is a project that takes some time.

The new bore pump will ensure we continue to have a secure and efficient thermal water source.

To any accommodation providers around the village, it may pay to reach out to any guests that have already made a booking to inform them that we won’t be operating during this time.

Change in Opening Hours
From Sunday 7th April we will be closing at the earlier time of 7pm. Our Tea Kiosk Café & Grill will also close earlier at 6pm.

Like last summer, we recruited a large number of casual staff. After providing fantastic support to us this summer, many have left to return to their school and university studies, or to pursue other opportunities.

We will always put the health and safety of our visitors and staff members first. For these reasons, we have a minimum number of staff and lifeguards required to enable us to remain open after 7pm, and unfortunately, we cannot meet these numbers from 7th April.

We would have loved to have stayed open to 9pm for longer, however it just isn’t possible.

For both of these matters we apologise for the inconvenience they may cause, and thank you for your continued support.

Summer hours are almost back! How exciting 😀

🌞 We're changing to our summer hours!! 🌞

From next Monday 13th November, our hours will be 10am - 9pm.
The Tea Kiosk will be open from 10am - 7pm.

🎅 On Christmas Eve, we will close early so our staff can get home to their family and friends.
On Christmas Day, we will be closed all day, but will reopen on Boxing Day.

We are unsure when we will switch back to our 7pm close, but we will give an update before we do.

We're looking forward to a great summer and being able to have our visitors with us for longer.
