Hapua Hapua means "Lagoon where tui's gather." Native birds flourish here. Try our boutique accommodation in the beautiful Tukituki Valley in Hawke's Bay.

Hapua is part of what was once Hapua Station. It is now a 35 acre farm which is home to alpacas and a wide variety of native birds. It includes Hapua Homestead - a William Rush designed transitional villa-bungalow which was built circa. 1910. Two WW2 army barracks have been renovated to provide boutique accommodation for two near the pool, wine bar and lagoon. Our goal is to make the farm a native bird reserve. Your host is Peter Fowler.
