Spring is in full swing at the estate! 🌱✨

Head Chef Leyton and Sous Chef Julian are hard at work planting fresh berries in the Mangapapa veggie garden, keeping a few curious little onlookers entertained.

What a night!

Last Friday, we were delighted to host Three Winemakers: Radburnd x Mangapapa.

We kicked off the evening with an exclusive tasting of Radburnd Cellar’s 2024 Syrah Release at Mangapapa Bar, followed by an unforgettable Winemaker’s Dinner in the restaurant.

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful guests who joined us for our final Winemaker’s Dinner of 2026. It was a true pleasure sharing such exceptional vintages alongside Kate, Penelope, and Sara from Radburnd Cellars, paired with an incredible menu crafted by our Head Chef, Leyton Ashley.

To everyone we were unable to accommodate due to limited seating—we hear you! We only wish our dining room were larger. We hope to welcome you next time as we continue celebrating the incredible w**eries of Hawke’s Bay.

The Mangapapa Hotel High Tea is entering its next chapter.

After absorbing endless inspiration from Tokyo’s high-end afternoon tea scene, we are so excited for what’s to come.

Our talented Senior Chef de Partie recently travelled to Tokyo to immerse herself in as many world-class culinary experiences as possible. From luxury hospitality to exquisite traditional flavours, she’s been gathering fresh ideas and inspiration.

We can’t wait to see the new creations and twists that will come out of this incredible research trip! Stay tuned for a beautifully levelled-up High Tea experience.
