Accommodation available over Christmas !
Check out our Tophouse, it’s old but it’s mighty.., it happens to be the most popular of the two houses we rent. It has 5 rooms and plenty of space to isolate snorers. 😂😂 This is our budget option.. and the house I stayed in when we first visited Wilson Bay farm many years ago.
It was built in the 1930s ( approx) and has had hundreds of visitors if only the walls could talk!

Today we had the pleasure of doing a tour with the Wairau Valley Garden club.
50 people came out to see us on the Pelorus Mail boat. We got to show them around, talk about what we do out here in the sounds, and why we don’t want to leave.
Afterwards they travelled on to Kristen and Mike Gerard’s amazing home and garden at Hopai farm for a visit.
It’s was a really nice day, ( for once) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Just wee brag… it’s been such a great season in the fruit and vege garden, I haven’t had to buy any brassicas since early this year! There’s still plenty to come.. this is the ‘cut’ version.
( the jars are sweet orange marmalade)
Time to make the next batch of cauliflower and pineapple pickle… we will need it for all the pork!

Sorry to the squeamish, look away. Another big bad bu**er taken out before he got hold of too many lambs. This guy was getting pretty close to home, and by the looks of those tusks he would take a lot of stopping. That’s number 3 this season all over 100lb.
