A superb day of golf was ensured by fantastic winter weather with no wind and clear sunny conditions for our annual Cockies Classic Tournament.

A full field of golfers for the tournament, principal sponsors of the day Nth Canterbury Rural Support Trust and with great support from other sponsors, ensured that the day would be much enjoyed by all those participating. Golfers were well provisioned throughout the day and were topped up with an excellent meal in the clubhouse afterwards. A full prize table ensured that all received a prize, and bidding in the charity auction netted over $2000 for the Rural Support Trust.

Today the club's roofing crew completed the replacement of the clubhouse roof which was partly removed by strong winds several months ago. This required replacement of all panels on the roof. Well done guys - the clubhouse is now fully clad with a new exterior and looks great.

Another Boyle Cup challenge won today against Weedons. An absolute stunner of a day for some great games. Congratulations everyone.

A win yesterday in the Boyle cup challenge against Hanmer Springs. A cool start but it came out beautiful with some good golf played.

We held our Mixed Foursomes Tournament on Sunday in brilliant Autumn conditions. A great day's golf (not necessarily reflected in the scores) was the outcome topped off by a typically great Hawarden meal in the clubhouse afterwards. A good number of golfers were rewarded with excellent prizes made possible by the valued sponsorship of SML Transport.

Boyle cup 2026 finally got under way on Thursday after we were defaulted to in the first challenge. A great win to the women yesterday against TaiTapu. Some very close games were played.
