While we were in Picton we went to look at the ship Edwin Fox which is being preserved for future generations. We were both impressed with how much work has been done since our last visit. The people of Picton who never gave up on this hugh undertaking are to be commended. Thankyou. I think of all the money that is paid at times for a piece of art. Edwin Fox is a beautiful work of art on a very large scale being preserved for all New Zealanders.

Dandelions are not just pesky garden and lawn w**d they do have many health benifits. Every part of the dandelion is edible for adults. Back in my younger days a good friend Shirley and I dug them up dried the roots then roasted them to grind. I have never been a big coffee drinker ,but not being able to have caffeine I have been having a cup or two of Dandelion Coffee. The Dandelion Coffee is not quite the same when you purchase it from the health shop some how gathering the root drying it to roast gives you a great sense of satisfaction. But I'm happy with the brought Coffee.

Here at Berkeley Vale the Stinging nettles aren't plentiful as I would like but we do have some . As a child growing up I used it in a totally different way, back then it was a good tool to use when siblings were being annoying 😂 🙂 not so if you were on the receiving end.

2cups of water
Bring to boil and simmer for 5/10 min .
