It’s the little things …

This place was amazing. We had no phone or internet access due to a technical glitch with 'roaming" We were running late and didn’t have directions. We stopped at a little cafe and got coffee and used wifi to send them a message. Realising we wouldn’t get a return message the manager was waiting for us to show us now the door code worked.

The room was great and the bed super comfy and the decor and bathroom really nice. The place was quiet at night. Walking distance to shops and restaurants etc. Would highly recommend Great place to stay to see the glaciers.

No Regerts!

This old fire station converted into a boutique hotel was fantastic, the room was well presented with themes of firefighting. Very well done.
I only regret not staying longer.

Literally the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in…and my expectations are sky high! Place looked and felt brand new. No wall scuffs, no nasty grout, no warn carpet. It was adorable! Location was great too. Easy parking and just a short walk to the beach and the restaurants in town.

We love this recent review!

It is so rare to find accommodation for 5 (2 adults and 3 children) where we can all stay together in one room versus having to book two separate rooms, we really appreciated this! The room was spotless, warm and incredibly comfortable, even the sofa bed!

You can really tell Kerry and the team have taken incredible care, time and thought into making sure their guests feel welcome in such an epic space.

Beautiful amenities more than enough coffee and a fully stocked laundry made our stay just a bit more special. Shoutout to the housekeeping team, you are epic!!! It really was as if we were the first people to use our room, incredible!

Loved our overnight stay at Hokitika and the Fire Station. Very roomy space with comfortable layout and everything you could want for a short stay. Looked and felt very new - beautifully refurbished. Highly recommended and we’d definitely stay again!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Last minute booking by phone and we were in our room (Chief Maillard) within 5 minutes. Beautifully appointed suite in every way - by far the nicest hotel room we’ve stayed in for a long time. Super comfortable bed.

We’ll definitely stay here again!
