Stopforths Premium Accommodation We are a family owned business with pioneering links to the site. Sonja’s Great Great Grandfather Richard Stopforth lived on this land in the 1860’s.

Our aim is to provide quality accommodation close to the centre of town and for our guests to enjoy the lifestyle and surroundings of Hokitika. The land has been in the family ever since and our children John and Anne are the 6th generation to live here. Anne senior is a 4th generation descendant of Richard Stopforth and grew up and spent most of her life on the site. We both have an excellent loc

al knowledge of the history, culture and natural heritage of the Coast. This is a special place and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Soon Stopforths is going to be using STAAH in an effort to get more direct bookings to the business and counter the effects of OTA's ie Booking.com, Expedia and Agoda. These OTA's (Online Travel Agencies) take 12-15% commissions they charge to NZ businesses. You will find lower rates with direct bookings though our Webpage it will save you money help reduce inflation and make our business more viable. Please use it and spread the word. We also encourage all customers to contact us directly to book. Our proven customer service record over the last 8 years speaks for itself. Check it out we have the best ratings for any Motel on the West Coast.

Some great value this week at Stopforths really good accomodation all rooms are quality.
