We love winter in Kaikoura. There’s a cool crisp freshness in the air that invigorates the soul and makes you slow down a bit. Just enough to notice the winter colors, the empty beaches and the uncrowded surf. To gaze at the snow capped mountains and just slow down and take it all in. For some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlife anywhere on earth you really can’t go past Kaikoura. And for the best viewing spot around often out on your cabin deck is as far as you need to go. As we move towards autumn sunrises and sunsets can really take your breath away, book on in and come see for yourself. 📸

We had a most excellent time rafting the Clarence with in the holidays. Jordy and the team of expert guides put together an epic trip for the whole family with amazing food cooked over camp fires, epic camping spots and hours of fun on the river taking in the incredible scenery. This is a must do if you have ever thought about it, we can’t recommend it enough. Put this one on your bucket list, you won’t be disappointed.
