Open Daily 8am - 8pm for food + drink, camping + accommodation as well as our epic river adventures. Awastone Riverside Haven is a quiet private campground and licensed riverside cafe. It is also the base for river adventures offering family fun river trips, couples retreats, kayaking courses and multi-day river journeys. The stunning location of this venue makes it the perfect setting for all sor

ts of special events including family gatherings, birthday parties and work social dos. The popular Summer Sunday Sessions run from Jan - Apr, hosting various bands and singer/songwriters that entertain guests relaxing with friends and family by the beautiful Rangitikei River.

📣 NEW HOURS AND UPDATES 📣

As the sun starts to set on another summer, we’ve made the tough call to move to limited hours a little earlier than planned.
From Monday 6th April to Sunday 19th April, our café/kitchen will be open daily from 3pm–7pm — covering reception and dinner service.
Keep an eye out for dinner specials along the way 👀

Camp Reception will remain open from 8am - 10am & 3pm-7pm everyday for guests.
After the 19th, the cafe will go into its winter hibernation, with the exception of the odd quiz night or special event.
What an incredible season it’s been. We are so grateful to everyone who’s spent time with us, supported us, and been part of the buzz. Whether that was a quick coffee, a long lunch, a riverside stay, or an evening with friends.

We’re not done just yet though - The LAST Sunday Session is upon us, get ready for a wicked season send off.

Autumn at the awa has its own kind of magic, and we’re looking forward to the slower pace, cosy evenings, and - as always - good people down at the Awa.

*UPDATE - Back Open now! 8am - 8pm everyday*

Awastone remains CLOSED until further notice… In the aftermath of the storm, Awastone, Mangaweka and surrounding areas still without power… a bit of damage around, we are keeping busy with clean up, cards and cuppas!

We will remain CLOSED until further notice. Hopefully back up and rolling soon. Stay safe out there whanau!
