KDC storm advisory
UPDATE 17:52 | 22 January
Just a quick update from us this afternoon.
All roads we previously noted as flooded or closed are now open.
We have two new roads that were flooded following the high tide this afternoon (Child Road and Houto Road) we expect these to recede as the tide goes out.
If you spot any further issues out on our roads โ please call them in, 0800 727 059.
Our Civil Defence staff are now standing down.
Mayor Jonathan Larsen says โI want to thank everyone who worked with us to prepare for this event and to those who kept up to date and readied themselves and their property. This is all part of what makes Kaipara the place to be!โ
Pop over to our website to read a full update from the Mayor.
Wishing all of Kaipara a well-deserved breather over the coming long weekend!
