Whether you’re here to surf, fish or simply unwind, Taupō Bay Holiday Park is the perfect base for your Northland escape. Enjoy the 1.2 hectares of camp, offering plenty of shelter and shade. We have a self-contained 2 bedroom cabin Wheelchair freindly, kitchen cabins, backpackers room, power and tent sites. We have a fantastic BBQ area where you can enjoy the catch of the day or prepare a meal in

our fully equipped and well sized kitchen. We also have a small store which has a range of basic supplies.Surf's up – go surfing. Walk the beach, or rocks on both ends of the beach give a chance for climbing and fishing. There is diving and snorkelling and a nice playgrounds for the kids by the reserve at the beach and at the camp.

As always, our peak Christmas and New Year dates are expected to fill quickly, so if you’re planning a stay at Taupo Bay this summer, now is the time to secure your site or accommodation.

Today we share a very sad goodbye to our best employee, Snappa 🐾

Goodbyes like these are especially hard when it’s someone so special, a little soul who brought so much happiness. So many of you were lucky enough to meet her, and we hope she made every visit a little brighter.

We’re grateful Snappa got to spend so many years by your side, keeping you company on your camping trips and becoming part of so many memories.

We’re heartbroken to share this news and are really feeling it here. Snappa is off somewhere new, chasing seagulls.

She will be deeply missed 🤍

We’ve been making a few upgrades around the park and thought we’d share a quick look at what’s been happening. 🚧

The BBQ area has had a bit of a refresh, with a new clearlite roof and soffit added creating a brighter, cleaner space to enjoy.

Cabins 3 and 4 are also getting a well-deserved facelift, with fresh paint and new hybrid flooring.
Plus, for the first time, all kitchen cabins now have hot water, a long-awaited upgrade we’re sure everyone will be excited for.

Everything’s coming together nicely in time for summer, and the lucky guests who’ve already booked Cabins 3 and 4 will be among the first to enjoy the updates. ☀️

We officially opened bookings for summer this morning - and they were snapped up quickly. There are still a couple of powered sites sites and plenty of unpowered sites available over the Xmas and new year period - but they won’t last long. 🎄 ⛺️
