We are delighted to introduce you to Studio du Lac - a petite, comfortable self-contained one bedroom apartment sited within Jardin du Lac, our lifestyle property near Masterton.
Jardin du Lac, which has a lake and beautiful mature gardens, is located within “Milford Downs” known for it's unparalleled privacy and tranquility.
You can enjoy the views from your own deck or feel free to roam the entire property: relax in the folly in the back paddock to watch the sun set on the mountains or on the peninsular at the lake edge to enjoy the abundant wildlife and stunning reflections. While at the lakeside, why not feed the eels? And if you love birdsong, you are coming to the right place – the morning chorus is quite something!
On arrival you’ll find a delicious tasting platter and aperitif. We can also cater for your evening meal (by arrangement, not included in room rate).
When it comes time to retire for the evening, you’ll find quality Domani linens on the bed and complimentary NZ made plant-based toiletries in the bathroom.
We are within easy walking distance of Masterton Golf Course and a very short drive to the town centre. Within the immediate environs you will find numerous olive groves, vineyards, lavender fields, nature reserves, and bike trails galore.
Masterton has all the key essential services and is a short drive to popular Greytown and Martinborough, Mt Bruce Bird Sanctuary, Mt Holdsworth, Kiriwhakapapa Redwood forest, the stunning Castlepoint and Riversdale coastline, and local potters and apiaries. In town you'll find the award-winning QE Park and just opposite the Aratoi Art Gallery and Museum, a must-do if you're visiting the region.
Living in the Wairarapa is amazing with its long summer days, beautiful landscapes, dark sky reserve and so much more.
