Everything about Ski Time is just right - from the open fires to the extensive wine list, fantastic food and brilliant service. We are located just over an hour's drive from Christchurch International Airport, 30 mins drive from Mt Hutt Ski Area and a mere 5 minute walk from the town centre of Methven. Ski Time offers a restaurant, bar and beautiful lodge and apartment accommodation with stunning views of the majestic Southern Alps. Our comfortable, cosy atmosphere and warm welcome will ensure you never want to leave.

It’s spring (today anyways) and this is our new spring menu featuring our lamb rump dish 🤤

Please note we are still OPEN this Sunday & Monday evening(27th & 28th September) for dining! Reservations are recommended and very much appreciated. 😉

From October we are going back to 5 evenings per week, Tuesday - Saturday from 5pm. 🙂 🙏

And thank you to everyone who has visited, stayed, dined and supported us. We are incredibly lucky to meet so many lovely people along the way. 💕

Now it’s time for a short break and a recharge before the next winter season begins. 😉

Ski Time Restaurant and Accommodation is closed from this Sunday 24th May until Monday 1st June.

We just want to say a big thank you to all our amazing customers for the support over the year – we’re so grateful for every visit to our restaurant , every chat at the bar and every single smile ❤️

Ski Time Restaurant and our awesome staff will be taking a little break over Christmas.
📅 Closed from: Sunday 21st December 2025
📅 Back on: Tuesday 30th December 2025

We will be open as usual over the New Year Public Holidays and for the rest of summer 2026!
5 evenings per week, Tuesday - Saturday from 5pm. Closed Sunday & Monday evening.
