Napier is home to the National Aquarium of New Zealand. It is one of the only places in the country where you can see many different species of fish, penguins, reptiles and other wildlife all under one roof. 🐟🐙

Our personal favorite is the little penguin encounter which you can book in advance at https://www.nationalaquarium.co.nz/visit/little-penguin-close-encounter/ this allows for up close and personal experience with the beautiful little creatures.

Make sure you allow plenty of time to explore all the different areas this awesome place has to offer. We are conveniently located only a short drive away, so need to worry about rushing home.🤩🤙

The theme for this year's Hawkes Bay Art’s Festival is “Be Open”, despite the best efforts of the Delta variant they are pleased to be going ahead with a smaller, more intimate version of the festival. This still means the same song, shows and incredible artists hand picked for our audiences. 👌😍

Starting on Wednesday 20 October with live music, theatre, circus and a great line up in our Readers & Writers programme including a couple of brand new additions.

Taniwha Daffodils are set to open this weekend with advice from the Covid-19 Business Helpline and we are beyond excited!

From Saturday September 11, to Sunday September 26, the team at Taniwha Daffodils will open daily under Alert Level 2 restrictions from 9am to 5pm, with Espresso Loco onsite providing food and coffee before, during or after picking.

However, Alert Level 2 means there are a few changes in the way we would normally interact at Taniwha Daffodils. This is to ensure we can all safely pick, play and potter the fields.
✔️ Please bring your own bucket
✔️ Keep count of the daffodils you are picking and cash and eftpos payments are both welcome.
✔️ There will be no wrapping of the daffodils this year. Prices as follows; ¼ bucket (30 stems) $7.50, ½ bucket $15.00, ¾ bucket $22.50, Full bucket $30.00
✔️ Bring a face mask. We encourage all visitors to bring a face covering to wear when facing staff, queueing in line at the sales desk or in line for food and drinks.
✔️ Bring a device and scan in at the Covid-19 QR code. An alternative manual recording will be available too.
✔️ Be mindful and keep a 2m physical distance from anyone you don’t know whilst queueing for great coffee, exploring the fields or when paying for your daffodils.
