Day one reality: Nobody left the Lodge 👀 🍷

Lunch turns into three hours, the cheese board gets raided twice, and somewhere in there the itinerary gives up. Someone ends up asleep by the pool with a book still open on their chest, and someone else is filling the fridge back up before anyone's asked.

Nobody's checked their phone since breakfast and no one's gone looking for it either.

This was our first hosted Food & Wine Experience - three courses from Chef Simon Lillico, wine matched to every course by Gordon Russell, a hosted tasting in between.

There’s a villa in the vines that your whole group gets to enjoy.

This is the Vineyard Villa, and it sleeps up to ten people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a swim spa pointed straight to the vines, and a living areas big enough for everyone to enjoy.

It’s the place a group books when they want everyone under the same roof, the fire going, and relaxed indoor-outdoor living. The sort of long getaway nobody’s in a rush to drive home from.

Our Lodge at Kiwiesque sits amongst the Eskdale vineyards, just outside Napier, with space for up to 20 guests across eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, multiple living areas, a lap pool and a hot spa. The conference room can also turn into a ninth room when a group needs it!

Close enough to wineries, beaches, restaurants and Hawke’s Bay activities if you want them... but the best part is usually everyone ending up back at the Lodge together by the end of the day.

For Adesh and Ish*ta wedding day, they wanted their families together, their cultures honoured, and a celebration that felt like them.

So they made Kiwiesque theirs for three days. Traditional ceremonies in the vines, a collaborative menu from chefs at Restaurant Ari and Origami, and both families under one roof for the whole celebration.

These photos show some of their beautiful wedding moments. Hosting a couple's wedding ceremony here means something so special to us. It's part of what we love about Kiwiesque, and these photos hold some of the memories we'll keep from theirs.
