What an awesome day on the maunga yesterday!
A fantastic turnout of 112 members from RMCA clubs came together for this year's Mountain Clean Up, with club members spreading across the mountain to help remove rubbish and protect this special environment.

It was great to see so many volunteers giving up their time to make a positive difference and there was a real sense of pride seeing the amount of rubbish collected and removed from the mountain. Every bag filled was a small contribution towards keeping our maunga healthy, clean and beautiful.

A huge thank you to Debbie Evans and the RMCA Executive team for organising and coordinating this fantastic initiative, bringing clubs together for a shared purpose and fostering the strong community spirit that makes the mountain clubs so special.

Also a big thank you to Samuel Fletcher and the team at New World Ohakune for generously supplying the post working bee BBQ. After a day on the mountain, it was the perfect way to relax, connect with fellow club members and celebrate a job well done.

Another awesome upgrade completed at the TAC lodge last weekend, with the brand new ranch slider now installed off the lounge deck area.

Massive thanks to the team from Marius Lloyd Construction and Kevin Brookes for organising and leading the install. A quality job all round and another big tick off the lodge improvement list!

Plenty of hard mahi went into this project and the end result looks fantastic.
Great effort team!

Huge thanks to everyone who came along and helped out at Sunday’s TAC Firewood Working Bee!
What an awesome club effort from all ages, it was fantastic to see so many members pitching in to help prepare firewood supplies for the season ahead.
A special thanks to Jim & Margaret Hassall for once again hosting the working bee on their property and supporting the club so generously.

The heart of the club is back in action!
Our legendary lodge pool table has had a full refurbishment and is looking fantastic again thanks to the team at Pot Black Hamilton and to Kevin Brookes for organising this project!

The story behind this refurb makes it even more special.
The young 69 year old technician who arrived at the lodge to service our much loved pool table quickly discovered he wasn’t just working on any old table, he was working on a piece of Tokoroa Alpine Club history.
After hearing the story from Wayne Jowett about his father Barry, one of our club legends who built the lounge that proudly houses the table, the project quickly became much more than just a repair job.

You can see from the photos the amount of love, care and craftsmanship that has gone into bringing this beauty back to life. From a full strip down and rebuild, right through to the fresh new cloth, the table is now ready for many more years of competitive games, laughs, yarns and late night lodge tournaments.

We’re getting in behind a mountain clean up this King’s Birthday weekend, working alongside the Department of Conservation and Iwi to give something back to the maunga we all enjoy.

This is a great chance for our mountain clubs and our members to show our commitment to kaitiakitanga and play our part in looking after the alpine environment.
