What a start to the school holidays!

The first week has been a busy one here at The Beachcomber, with football teams, Highland dancers, families and visitors from near and far keeping things buzzing. ☀️

There’s something special about seeing the hotel come alive with groups travelling together, competing, performing and making memories along the way. We’re proud to be a home base for so many visitors enjoying everything Nelson has to offer.

From 15–18 October, the IORK New Zealand Rental Go Kart Championships is coming to Pro Karts in Tāhunanui, bringing some of the country’s best kart racers to Nelson for four days of high-speed action.

If you’re travelling down to compete, support a driver or bring the family along for the racing, staying close to the action makes the whole weekend a little easier. After a big day at the track, you can head back, put your feet up and enjoy being just a short stroll from Tāhunanui Beach.

There’s something special about seeing Nelson come alive with creativity, music, theatre, comedy and performances from both local and visiting artists.

Whether you’re a regular festival-goer or thinking about experiencing it for the first time, it’s a great excuse to get out, try something different and enjoy a little more of what makes Nelson such a vibrant place to visit.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a stay memorable.

Arriving after a day exploring Nelson.
