INCREDIBLE NEWS for Nelson!

Nelson will host the 2025 National Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Championships from 27 September to 2 October!

More than 400 student competitors from across New Zealand will compete on our world-class trails, with families, supporters and coaches providing a fantastic economic boost for our city.

This prestigious event builds on Nelson's reputation as a mountain biking mecca! New infrastructure, including a downhill course and cross-country trail, will be built before the championships, further enhancing our already world-class facilities.

Huge thanks to:
• Nelson Mountain Bike Club Manager Mel Barker and the entire team for securing this amazing event
• Ngāti Koata, for their support as tangata whenua and land owners
• All volunteers, sponsors, and community members making this possible
