The Palace Backpackers Welcome to Palace Backpackers! Come visit our city centre oasis! :) Further afield are the Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes national parks.

located in Nelson, with free tea and coffee, breakfast, hammocks, and real beds (no bunks!) there's no better place to relax for a short or long time! In a lush garden location in the center of the town, this friendly backpackers with a laid-back atmosphere has all you need to feel home away from home! Nice and helpful staff, beautifully decorated rooms, an extended garden area with BBQ, hammocks

and a spa pool and a sunny balcony and conservatory with views. The Colonial Villa has a special charm with it's high ceilings, spacious rooms, wide windows, old fireplaces and chandeliers. A place to relax in and a base to explore one of the most interesting cities in New Zealand, rich in art and culture, which enjoys 2500 hours of sunshine per year. We welcome all international travelers of positive mind! But beware, many of our guests came for just one night and then stayed for weeks!

Learn to make bread, play guitar, make embroidery bracelets.
Play board games, music.
Share food, enjoy eachother's company :)
