Imagine opening your curtains to this. 🌅

Soft pinks, lavender clouds, and a glowing orange horizon welcomed us this morning at Bella Vista Motel Oamaru. Sometimes the best part of travelling is simply slowing down long enough to enjoy moments like these.

We hope everyone has a wonderful day! 💜

❤️ Supporting Our Community ❤️

At Bella Vista Oamaru, we believe in looking after our community and being there when it matters most.

Following the recent weather events, we have been proud to play a small part in helping support those affected and those needing a safe place to stay.

We know that behind every recovery effort are countless people giving their time, energy, and support. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, emergency services, council teams, local organisations, and community members who have worked tirelessly to help others during this challenging time.

It’s moments like these that remind us how special the Oamaru and Waitaki community is — people coming together, supporting one another, and lending a hand when it’s needed most.

From our team at Bella Vista Oamaru, thank you to everyone who has contributed. We are proud to be part of this community.

Stay safe, Oamaru ❤️

Winter has definitely arrived in Oamaru! ❄️🥶

With Danseys Pass, Arthur’s Pass and several other inland routes closed due to snow and icy conditions, today’s rainbow seemed to be pointing in one direction only… straight to Bella Vista Oamaru! 🌈🏡

If you’re travelling through or your journey has been interrupted by the weather, we’d love to welcome you in from the cold. For guests who pre-book, your room will be warm and cosy on arrival, ready for you to relax and unwind. And to make your stay even more comfortable, your hosts will have a fresh batch of home-baked cookies waiting for check-in. 🍪☕

Travel safe, take care on the roads, and remember – sometimes an unexpected stopover can turn into the best part of the journey.

One other thing we are super proud to be part of. 🌳

This Earth Day, we're thinking about how small choices can make a real difference 🌏

Did you know that on average, a night's stay at Bella Vista produces less than 3kg of carbon? With the government guideline sitting at 11kg per night, we're proud to be doing our part to protect our whenua.

When you stay with any of our motels, you can rest easy knowing you aren't compromising on comfort or quality, while travelling more responsibly 🌿
