NZ Pony Club D-level instructor.
35 years of experience with horses.
11 years experience in Thoroughbred racing and stud.
4 years experience in Standardbred stud.
10 years in Pony Club gaining B Certificate in Horse management. I believe the best coaching style is the one that suits you and your horse the best. I love learning and I am constantly looking to upskill to give my best to my students a

nd their horses. From non-horsey mums and dads to competitive riders through groundwork and ridden lessons. Trainers I like to follow include TRT Method, Warwick Schiller, The Wilson Sisters, and Ellie O’Brian.

Learn to Ride a Pony!
By popular request United Equestrian Ohinewai has teamed up with Crystal Willow Pony Adventures to give young riders a hands-on pony experience in a relaxed, supportive environment.

This isn’t just watching — kids get real time with them while learning confidence and safe skills.

🌟 What they’ll do:
• Ride friendly ponies
• Learn how to handle and guide a pony
• Basic pony care
• Build confidence around horses

📍 UENZ Grounds – Ohinewai Domain
📅 Sunday afternoons (starting Sunday 22nd March)
⏰ 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Choose what suits your family:
• One-off visit
• Monthly riders
• Fortnightly regulars

💲 $20–$40 per session (depending on requirements)

🔋 BATTERY DRIVE FUNDRAISER 🔋

We’re running a battery drive fundraiser and are asking for donations of OLD OR UNWANTED CAR BATTERIES.

If you have car batteries sitting around at home, on the farm, in the shed, or at work, we would love to take them off your hands. These will be recycled, helping us raise funds while keeping hazardous waste out of landfill ♻️
