My final trading day at Stony River House!! 😥🙂

Yesterday I wrapped up the last of my catering gigs....along with my little kitchen assistant 😍
I had never expected to take on catering but once I got my head in the game of running the cafe, restaurant and accommodation (and 2 little ones 👶👧) I could help but take on each event.
Im always up for a challenge and it was amazing at what keeped me awake at night...like how to make a golf ball for a birthday cake!! 🤔
From the mystery afternoon teas, to a special birthday dinner, the wonderful groups up at Patuha Lodge, to those personalized birthday cakes 🎂
I've enjoyed each and everyone of them.
So thank you to everyone who has made me part of their special day 😀

If anyone is wanting to stock the freezer with my muffins next week..please let me know in advance so I can make a few extra.

The time has come to fill you in with what's going on here at the Stony River House.
I'm super excited to tell you all that as of 1st July we have a new owner! 🎉

After having a booming cafe/restaurant down in Hokitika, Alisha is moving back to Taranaki to take on Stony River House and do her magic!
She will be restarting the cafe, restaurant and accommodation.
I'm excited to see the up and coming changes and also looking forward to become one of the 'local regulars'!

It will definitely be mixed emotions leaving this place at the end of June as it has been such a whirlwind ride over the last 2 years.
It's time for me and my family to be off creating new adventures and I know that the old Stony will be left in bloody good hands 💛

INTRODUCING MY NEW PROJECT 🖤

First licensed in 1876, nearly 150 years old, she sits quietly on the surf highway in Taranaki in a little coastal town called Ōkato.

There are seven guests rooms and what will soon become my new restaurant brand Trencherman.

I takeover July 1 and have a wee bit of painting to do, staff to find (message me if you are a chef or FOH machine and live in Taranaki) and a new gorgeous restaurant brand to create…

I’d love if you continue to follow along…and love it even more if you come stay one day 🥂

Thursday 23rd June will be our final Thursday 😭 so there's only a handful of weeks left to get my amazing muffins, cronuts (will be available every week) and of course Allpress coffee ☕️

I'm doubling the amount of cronuts I made last week as they didn't last long!
Make you you come down and grab yours, otherwise we will have to figure out what to do with the leftovers 😉🤔😋
