TODAY’S THE DAY! OPEN 8am-3pm🌞

Our last day of operating, it’s a bittersweet day!

Thank you to each and everyone of you who has walked through the hotel doors and supported us during our reign here at The Ōkato! Embarking on this journey has been a life changing experience and is definitely one for the books! 😅

To our staff, family and friends who have helped us along the way, we couldnt have done it without you and will be forever grateful for your hard work, loyalty and support!

Our final week operating at The Ōkato!

As of Sunday 23rd of March, the doors will be closed to the public while we continue to run the accommodation until the 30th of March.

Come and join us for our last Happy Hour and dinner services this Friday & Saturday evening! We’d love to see your friendly faces before we close! 🤗

Last week we had the pleasure of local author Liz Fry - The Enoughness Coach calling in to see us! Liz is very dear to my heart, she does some incredible work with Taranaki Retreat and has just published her first book! Can confirm it is an incredible read and we love the work she does with the local community ❤️❤️❤️

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Today is my last day here at The Ōkato, come join me for one final happy hour cocktail/dinner! Cosmo’s are the cocktail of the day today, it only seems fitting 😉

For those who I won’t get to see to say goodbye, it’s been a pleasure and I will miss you all dearly, thank you all for your support during our time here, I am so grateful to have met some bloody cool people! ❤️‍🔥

ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END….

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Hamish and I have made the tough decision to leave The Ōkato. Due to some major life changes in the background, it is no longer meant to be.

Thank you all for your continued support throughout this journey, we are so grateful to have been part of such a lovely wee community out here and will always cherish the memories we have made in Ōkato. We have had the absolute pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and have made some incredible friends throughout our time in Ōkato.

Together, Hamish & I have accomplished things we never thought we were capable of. It has been an incredible experience and we are very proud that we took on this opportunity with no business experience and little hospo experience. It’s been our biggest adventure yet, we threw ourselves in to the deep end and have gained invaluable knowledge and skills, that we will take with us into our next ventures in life.

Our doors will be closing on the 30th of March and there is an exciting opportunity to take over the reigns of this beautiful building. Please get in touch with us if you would like to discuss further!
