The Rail Trail season is now pretty much over with those very low single digit (if not negative) temperatures and hard frosts putting off all but the hardiest of cyclists.
Thank you to all of my guests that made it here during this 2025/26 season. I hope that you enjoyed cycling the Otago Central Rail Trail.
If you saw the board in the office here you know that I’m a bit of an analytical, so if you’re interested this is the breakdown of guest origins – 56.7% of booked rooms were non-NZ based guests, and of those 81.6% were from Australia [all states except NT]. Other guest origins were USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Singapore, Brazil and Sth Africa.
Maybe see you all again next season.😉

One week’s worth of Queen sheets, not counting the single sheets, towels and pillowcases that we launder ourselves.
No wonder we are tired 🥱 and it’s not even school holidays!
