Hi everyone. I've been absent from this page for a while, as it has been busy busy busy! Just a quick update..... The new owners, Eugene and Sharyn take over on the 30th of January, so, as you can imagine, it has been all go here packing up our house, trying to get everything organised. If Michael and I don't get a chance to catch up with you before we leave, we both wanted to thank you for all of your support and patronage over the years (nearly 13... where does time go to?). I am sure you will enjoy your new Hoteliers, and all of our staff remain in place, so we are leaving the old girl in great hands. Wishing you all the best, and you guys take care. It is exciting and sad at the same time. ###

We are still looking for that one additional person to join our team for our upcoming busy season who has experience in a la carte (restaurant) dining and bar work. This position could be for someone wanting additional work, or a full time position. Remuneration is based on your experience, and experience is required - this isn't a training position.
Accommodation can be provided if required.
A full drivers licence is required, as we pick up and drop off our diners and locals.

I was scrolling through the ODT page today looking for something, and came across this! I hadn't even seen it the first time around! :) Hope everyone is well out there and getting ready for the Christmas period!

Deck chairs and rugs are usually the order of the day at the Central Otago Trotting Club's Omakau race meeting, but this year the bar was raised.

FREE ACCOMMODATION - WAITERING AND BAR WORK

DUE TO A CHANGE OF PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO START FOR TRAINING PURPOSES ASAP.

Restaurant Waitering & Bar Work - IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A LA CARTE/RESTAURANT WAITERING IS, THEN THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU! :), and also some Housekeeping shifts to boost your hours - your hourly rate will be based on your experience. We all pitch in here together and just get the job done - in whatever area it may be.

We are looking for someone who has had a LOT of experience in Hotel/Restaurant work. Some sole bar shifts are part of this role and also co-ordinating the restaurant on some busy nights, so you can't just wing it - **I can't stress enough the importance of experience**. This position requires someone with excellent customer service skills, GREAT ENGLISH, and a good sense of humour. We would require the successful applicant to start as soon as possible (to have training with our current seasonal staff), and go through until the end of our busy season which is until the end of April/May. This is a good chance to go hard and save hard. **If you can't stay until at least the end of April, please don't apply**. This isn't a role for someone who wants three weeks off here and there - we need someone who wants to work hard and save hard, then continue their travels.

As we get really busy, **experience is essential - you need to have at least 3 years waitering experience and know bar work**. **Full drivers license** (for courtesy coach runs) required - this is a "must have". If you have an allergy to putting your hands in the sink, then this job's not for you. The owners are hands on too - We get stuck in and get it done to make the day a success, and help each other out - all with a smile on the dial, and don't mind having a quiet one (or two) after work. We all do the dishes and clean up ourselves - including us, the owners.

Previous experience with applicants is the reason that I have emphasised the job experience required. This is not a training position, it is a full time role, come on in, learn how we do it, then rock on.
