🌊 To Our OBHP Whānau... 💙
In just a couple of days we'll be saying goodbye to OBHP, and honestly... our hearts are so full.
When we first arrived, we never imagined just how many beautiful friendships we'd make, how many laughs we'd share, or how deeply this place would become part of our story.
To every single member of the team—thank you.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, your humour, your hard work, and for making every day an adventure.
Together we've celebrated incredible highs, worked through some tough days, welcomed thousands of guests, watched countless sunrises and sunsets, and created memories that Karl and I will carry with us forever.
A very special thank you to Sarah , Micayla and Shinelle for the incredibly thoughtful canvas you surprised us with yesterday. It absolutely brought us to tears. It is something we will treasure forever and will proudly hang in our new home as a reminder of the amazing people we were lucky enough to work beside. ❤️
To our beautiful Jolene—thank you for always bringing your warmth, your laughter and your beautiful heart. You have a way of making people feel seen and valued, and we are so grateful to call you our friend.
To our wonderful Wilma—your kindness, encouragement and unwavering support have meant more to us than you'll ever know. Thank you for believing in us and for always being there. You truly are one of a kind.
And to Amz Louise Pickavance . . your beautiful beach painting is so special to us. Every time we look at it we'll think of OBHP, the sea, and the wonderful person who painted it with so much love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💙🎨
To everyone else who has been part of our journey—staff, volunteers, guests, regulars, and friends—you have all left footprints on our hearts.
Every conversation, every laugh, every coffee, every challenge and every act of kindness has helped shape this chapter of our lives.
As the sun rises on our final days here, we're reminded that every ending is also the beginning of something new.
You are left in good hands with the new Deputy Manager Sven who is lovely and already flowing well with the staff.

This isn't goodbye forever—it's simply see you down the road.
