🎉 HARRODSVILLE RETURNS! 🎉

Forty years ago, in 1986, the businesses of Otorohanga made international headlines when they cheekily renamed the town "Harrodsville" in protest against the famous Harrods department store in London. What started as a small-town stand became one of New Zealand's most memorable stories!

As part of the celebrations, we're joining fellow Otorohanga businesses in supporting the special Harrodsville Exhibition at the Otorohanga Museum.

Come along and discover the fascinating story behind Harrodsville, revisit the newspaper headlines, photographs, memorabilia, and learn how our community captured the world's attention.

Whether you remember the event firsthand or are hearing the story for the first time, this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Otorohanga's unique history, community spirit, and sense of humour.
