We're now recruiting for the following positions.....
*Cafe cook/chef
You have a passion for cooking great food and growing/harvesting your own ingredients. You enjoy meeting and greeting new people and making them feel right at home.
Our small cafe with its open kitchen is also our reception so a well organised, friendly personality is essential.
Making barista coffee, baking bread, preparing and serving menu items and home style dinners for large groups are all part of the role. Some experience required.
This is a full time permanent role but we will consider fixed term 1st September 26 to July 27.
*Fixed term; Jet boating, hunting and ATV guide.
We're looking for an experienced jet boat driver and hunter to join us as a fixed term guide from end of August 26 to end of November 26. You'll have a passion for sharing your skills and knowledge with a variety of different guests and be friendly and well presented. Valid NZ firearms licence is essential and experienced driving an ATV (side by side) on moderate to steep hill country. A valid commercial (river) jet boat licence would be a huge advantage or relevant hours and training to obtain your licence.
*Activity guide
This is a full time seasonal role from September 26 to June 27 but could become permanent for the right candidate.
Role includes;
Guiding horse treks - both half day and multi-day treks so you must be an experienced, confident rider and capable of looking after our guests and trekking team.
Driving ATV bush safaris, experienced driving an ATV (side by side) on moderate to steep hill country.
Other tourism tasks including but not limited to checking in guests, helping in our cafe, housekeeping and gardens gives this role plenty of variety.
A commercial jet boat (river) licence and/or a valid NZ firearms licence would be an advantage but not essential.
You'll be friendly, well presented, willing to learn and enjoy sharing your passion and knowledge with a variety of different guests and enjoy working in a varied and fast paced environment.
Due to our remote location, shared staff housing is included in the package.
Couples are welcome to apply but we cannot provide housing for a family.
