We always recommend our guests go to see the great local honey selection at Honey Paihia and the friendly information to go with any visit, but now it's even better with honey in chocolates. We are also happy to see our great local cafe Third Wheel Coffee Co. have a 'special' featuring their honey

Thanks to our guests, Inbound/ wholesale agents, suppliers and industry friends who support us.
We have had a great summer with guests every night since September and many full nights but we now have a repaint of the outside of the house planned for later this month and quite a few more jobs to keep things looking good. Then we are looking forward to a few days to spend with family and friends and to get to see some lovely places in NZ again and perhaps a trip overseas before we come back to lots more guests - many of whom are already booked for summer 24/25

A few changes for the next couple of months if you are heading to this way. Direct route to and from Auckland will take a bit longer but most of our guests plan to 'enjoy the journey' and a slight detour will have no disadvantage. Just allow some time. A restaurant that we recommend to all our guests Terra Restaurant is now open for dinner again 4 nights a week with its clever, tasty, artistic, good value, ever changing, tasting menu as well as brunch at the weekends. Marcus, Sarah and their team continue to offer the very best food and service in a wonderful setting overlooking the updated Horotutu park and the waterfront.

Thanks for such a great review. It has been good to have just a few Northlanders enjoying our local region in the last 3 months and look forward to welcoming people from the rest of NZ from 15 December to enjoy everything we and our area has to offer.

We will be asking all our guests to have VACCINE PASSES ready to be verified on arrival.

Breakfast service is adapted to fit in with current Covid requirements and to ensure everyone is comfortable and relaxed with their stay.

Just back from a wonderful South Island 'road trip' - Dunedin to Nelson. Great weather, beaches, waves, forest and bush, more beaches, interesting buildings, great people, lots of walks and a scenic flight. We are lucky. And a doormat and placemat momento from Hokitika - thanks Stonemats Hokitika

Kawiti Caves is one of the many places in Northland that are open again for visitors. Plenty more options - beaches to walk on, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, bush tracks, various boat trips and of course wonderful views from Allegra House. Yey - we are allowed to travel around NZ again. How about a visit combined with a guided cycling / walking tour with some friends

Update – with level 2 just round the corner we are pleased to see the restrictions are lifting and people can travel throughout NZ. We are excited to be running our tours again.
