sily access the surrounding towns of Kerikeri and Russell, take a boat out into the Bay, enjoy the culture and history of The Waitangi Treaty Grounds, great eateries and bars, and plenty of cycling and walking. Our accommodation has rooms for solo travellers, couples, groups and families. The Lodge has a fully equipped communal kitchen, perfect for groups or independent travellers, the lounge area and the outdoor seating and dining area, with use of our BBQ, is an ideal space to enjoy time together as a group or meet other guests. Groups can hire out the whole lodge and have exclusive use of all the facilities.

Housekeeper/Receptionist – Part time

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented hospitality superstar to join our small, family run lodge in beautiful Paihia. The role will be covering both housekeeping and reception duties. Housekeeping tasks will include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, etc. Reception tasks will include welcoming guests, taking payment, and providing friendly customer service.

Hours will be 20 hours a week; 9am-5pm (0.5 hr lunch break) mostly on Saturday and Sunday with the flexibility to work occasional weekdays instead, and a set 9am-2pm on Tuesday. We are looking for someone to start early-mid November with an end date of March 31, 2025 (Winter hours may be available for the right candidate). An hourly wage of $23.50 per hour.

Keeping it in the family! We want to wish Andy and Lynne all the best in retirement 🎉🏝️

Bay of Islands Lodge wouldn’t be what it is without the hard work of Andy and Lynne. Andy bought the business over 10 years ago and has put many hours establishing into the great place it is today.

Lynne came on board in 2020 and helped Andy convert it from a YHA youth hostel into the Bay of Islands Lodge as it is today. We are so proud of their careers and time spent running this business.

Both Andy and Lynne are only moving a block away so will still be around from time to time and we are excited for their next chapter in life. Paige, Mila and I are proud to continue on the family business and can’t wait to welcome you all soon!

We are Travis, Paige and Mila, the new owners of the Bay of Islands Lodge in beautiful Paihia, Bay of Islands. We are kiwi owned and operated and are proud to be the second generation of Larsen’s to run the lodge.

At our lodge we pride ourselves on welcoming hospitality, cleanliness and an eco friendly focus. We are walking distance from downtown Paihia and only a block away from the beach ☀️🏖️

Our lodge has a large communal kitchen, plenty of outdoor seating, a TV room with Sky and every room has an en-suite bathroom. We can’t wait to welcome you all soon ❤️
