Busby Manor Resort is situated 240km north of Auckland on the waterfront at Paihia beach in the Bay of Islands (Northland). This area of New Zealand is rich in culture and history, yet a great spot to enjoy the surrounding islands, visit the Hole in the Rock and swim with the dolphins. From its ancient kauri forests, hundreds of kilometres of stunning coastline, pleasure cruises, fishing and diving activities - to the nearby and famous Treaty House where in 1840 the Treaty of Waitangi was signed, there is so much to do and see. This iconic waterfront accommodation is located in the heart of Northland, Paihia is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The Bay of Islands enjoys a sub tropical climate with typical summers having long spells of sunshine and warm balmy evenings with average temperatures in the 21 - 30 degree range. The Bay of Island resort offers facilities that include a swimming pool and spa, and you can enjoy a barbeque from the poolside deck overlooking the ocean. We had several groups of guests take the Island Getaway two island stopover trip to the Hole in the Rock this week and were blessed with fantastic weather. The feedback was 100% positive for the experience. By all accounts the staff were, knowledgeable, funny and made the experience, even for those who've ventured to the HIR previously, one of the best tours they have ever been on. Well worth checking out if you haven't already!

It's looking decidedly wintry today with strong winds and relentless showers in Paihia.

As we head towards summer and better weather here's some dates for your consideration:

We have free weeks in one and two-bedroom apartments from the 12th February 2027 and we can make bookings up to and including week-beginning the 14th May 2027.

Any enquiries after that date will be entered as requests in the system.

We are virtually full for the year.
it’s great to see the sun again and guests enjoying lunch on the front deck and hopping into the spa after that chilly blast yesterday.

We have just 5 vacancies left for weeks commencing 14 Aug 21 Aug 28Aug and 6 Nov all in Seaview rooms.

Another tranquil winters day in the bay of islands. Walked around Urupukapuka and rewarded ourselves with a fickle mistress rose at Cafe is open 10 to 1 pm right through winter. Great to see a boat load of tourists enjoying the island. A must do on your next trip to Busby Manor
