Yesterday, while going through the housekeeping report sheets, I noticed a little note left by one of our team members. I wasn’t quite sure what it meant, so I asked her about it this morning. She explained that since it was a quieter day (we only had 4 full cleans and 1 service), she used the extra time to do some deep cleaning in a few rooms.

Next to the room numbers she worked on, she had added her own shorthand to track what extra tasks she’d done:
• ITB – Inner Toilet Bleach
• OTB – Outside Toilet Bleach
• SB – Shower Bleach
• C – Chemicalo paste cleaner
• SK – Sink Shine

It turns out, the room numbers listed were the ones where she had gone the extra mile. I really appreciated her initiative and the care she puts into her work—it’s these small details that make a big difference. Proud of our hardworking team!

The Bella Vista team is delighted to welcome Gareth, Erica and their daughter Maylyn as the new operators at Bella Vista Motel Palmerston North

Returning to reside in New Zealand in 2019, our latest owner/operators are setting down some solid roots in Gareth's hometown of Palmerston North.

Erica comes to the Bella Vista team with an extensive background in sales and travelling the world with trade shows. Erica is personable and enjoys building strong relationships. Gareth has a strong history in hospitality and tourism having worked in multiple international hotels around the world.

Both Erica and Gareth are looking forward to building a rapport with the wonderful set of regular travellers that frequent the Palmerston North Bella Vista and look forward to meeting new guests too.
