We're the only 5-star boutique lodge in the Manawatū to hold this accreditation and we couldn't be more proud.

The rainwater we collect, the native bush we protect, the kai we source locally. None of it was an afterthought.

2 Years of Kaitahi 🎂

Two years ago we welcomed our first guests through these doors. We had no idea how many wonderful people we'd meet from across Aotearoa and around the world.

We built Kaitahi around the things we love - great kai, great wine and beautiful accomodation. Ryan's menus follow the seasons, and we want everyone who visits to feel genuinely welcome.

Looking back on two years of hosting, we're grateful for every guest who chose to stay, dine, and celebrate with us. We've been part of birthdays from 21st to 90th. Wedding anniversaries from 1st to 52nd. And everything in between. It's always a privilege.

To our friends and whānau who've supported us on this journey - thank you.

Special mention to Palette Design and gravitymedia.nz for helping us get on our feet in those early days. We won't ever forget it.

Here's to lots more great kai, great wine, great people and doing this with the best sidekick Ryan Marshall . 🥂

From the moment we found you online, we knew we would love our stay with you!

Jazz, your warmth was apparent from the first email - that was matched by your genuinely friendly and warm welcome when we arrived, it felt like we had known you for ages! And Ryan, the food was absolutely next level; beautifully presented and seriously delicious - next time we will be sure to enjoy the Chefs Table experience!!

The setting is gorgeous, the accommodation is beautiful and spacious, nothing has been spared creating a restful place to relax and unwind and it is clear that you have created something very special together.

We hope to be back in the future ☺️

1. Her mission? Making sure every guest leaves Kaitahi feeling cared for and a little bit spoiled

2. Obsessed with her people: Ryan, Madi, Mack and all things family

3. Works in advertising by day, hosts by night

4. Also a marriage celebrant (yes, you can get married here)

5. Grew up rurally in South Taranaki and is eternally grateful for it

6. Loves bubbles, syrah and chardonnay

"We had an amazing night away for my husband's birthday at Kaitahi Lodge. The chef's table food was exceptional and the wine was perfectly matched to the meals.

We stayed in the Kotare Suite and the spa was a real treat at the end of the night.
