People travel thousands of kilometres to explore Abel Tasman National Park… and it’s right on our doorstep.

Located at the top of the South Island, Abel Tasman is known for its golden beaches, clear blue water, native bush and world-famous coastal track. It’s also New Zealand’s smallest national park, but easily one of its most popular.

The 60 km Abel Tasman Coast Track winds from Mārahau to Wainui and can be walked over several days, or explored in smaller sections by foot, kayak, cruise or water taxi. Around 27,000 people a year complete or visit the Coast Track, with many travelling from across New Zealand and around the world to see it for themselves.

And when you stay with us in Motueka, all of that is just a short drive away.

Walk a section of the track, find a quiet bay, spend the day kayaking or simply sit on the sand and take it all in. Then head back to the park, put your feet up and plan tomorrow’s adventure. 💚
