Just so that people understand and are not disappointed. We are now in our Hostel mode when we no longer run as a backpackers. We are full until at least October with overseas workers who are contracted to our owners Birdhurst Limited- Golden Bay Orchards. Apologies to anyone hoping to stay here in the near future. However, our website has many links on it related to what to do and see in the area, all of which have our recommendation behind them.

We still have some rooms available for short-stay guests. As I've said before, it's $25 per person per night or $160 for a week. We are very close to the commercial centre of the township and the way through to Abel Tasman National Park and Golden Bay.
As well as our comfortable rooms and facilities we have a space for one campervan with the electrical connection for use at no added cost.

Kia ora Backpackers.

We are ready and raring to go for the coming Labour Weekend and even the weather forecast suggests Tasman/Motueka is the place to be.
If you aren't here yet but want a more in depth look at what is available in the surrounding area, download the Abel Tasman National Park App from Play Store and see for yourself.

We will have beds available at $25 per bed with free WiFi, a large kitchen, powerful hot showers and a great laundry where you only pay to use the dryers, plus a large comfortable common room.

We are half way through Spring and today was much like Summer, here in our Motueka Paradise.
The whitebait are running and the orchards are beginning to hire again. Abel Tasman and Golden Bay are within easy access and we only charge $25 for a bed. We have clean, comprehensive facilities, free WiFi and helpful staff. You'd be hard pressed to find a better base for your stay in the Tasman area.

We are having an open day on Saturday 7th October where we will display rooms, costs and facilities for the coming season. We will have a free barbecue and drinks in the car park alongside of a garage sale.

Kia ora Katoa, Hi All,

We will officially start our Backpackers season on Sunday October 1st but will be open to receive guests from Monday 25th September if you are here and want accommodation.

Consistently good weather is forecast to return in coming weeks but even on a grey day I believe Motueka is a form of paradise.
A reminder that we are the perfect base to involve yourself in Tramping/Hiking, (the Abel Tasman track is easily accessible and we will do drop offs and pick ups where necessary.) We can provide connections to all of the local attractions, can arrange sea and fishing trips (we can provide fishing gear to fish locally) as this there is sky diving, cycle trails, wine trails and tastings, plus many more local attractions and adventures.
