Lakestone Lodge is a boutique accommodation provider on the iconic shores of Lake Pukaki in the South Island of New Zealand. It is perched on a hill overlooking the turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki up to the towering beauty of Aoraki Mt Cook New Zealand's highest mount
ain. Set to open in early 2016, this architecturally designed lodge contains six spacious rooms with floor to ceiling windows enabling guests to sit back and absorb the view. In the large dining room, guests can enjoy delicious cuisine showcasing local produce. Guests can also enjoy an in house massage or facial in the therapy room. The lodge generates its own electricity through solar panels and clever design which maximises the passive solar energy. The water in the lodge comes from its own artesian water bore and the garden surrounding the lodge is planted with natives plants. Lakestone Lodge is situated in an outdoor playground that includes Mt Cook National Park, the Alps to Ocean Cycleway, skifields, glacier flights and a large variety of walking tracks. It is also situated in the Aoraki Mt Cook Dark Sky Reserve.
