tunning wide beach and an excellent boat launching ramp. Water-skiing is popular as other many other water sports! There are many local walkways for a short 20 minute stroll or a 2 hour "excursion". Experience the many nature walks and DOC tracks in the National Park area - most within a 40 minute drive, including the Tongariro Crossing. Winter is also well catered for with some of the best fishing in the country. Troll or jig on the lake or fly fish in the nearby Tongaririo river with it's world renown pools. It is a 45 minute drive to the Whakapapa ski filed if boarding or skiing is your passion. White-water rafting is also very popular. Relax in the Tokaanu hot mineral pools on your way back. Turangi with supermarket, bank, shops etc is a short 12 minutes drive. There is a public swimming pool, climbing wall and an excellent golf course. There are many very good restaurants and cafes in the area. Taupo is a 40 minute drive away. The house has a well appointed kitchen, laundry and bathroom . All wet areas have vinyl floor coverings, all other areas are uncovered but there are some floor mats. Three separate bedrooms - sleeps max 10. Bedroom 1 - 1 x queen size bed

All bedding is supplied ie sheets, pillowslips, duvets and covers, and beds are made up ready for use. Towels and tea towels are NOT supplied (if you require these please ask - we may be able to arrange). Bathroom has a shower & a spa bath - great to relax after skiing, tramping or fishing. Laundry - washing machine & dryer. Kitchen is well appointed with Jennair grill, cooking hobs, fan forced oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc. Heat Pump in lounge area. Lounge has TV (Freeview), DVD with a small selection of DVDs. Good book library and a few games (Monopoly etc) and playing cards on hand. SKY TV dish - you need to bring your own decoder, decoder power cable and remote control - the TV to decoder cable is on site. BBQ (4 burner)

PLEASE NOTE: Our house is our holiday home it is not a flash apartment or classy show home - it is somewhere to relax and enjoy the lake, fishing, tramping, skiing and the bush - it‘s a secluded quiet place away from all the stress! There is NO disabled access. Set on bush clad hill (access steps to house and stairs within the house as house is on 3 levels) - not suitable for elderly, physically disabled or very small children due to access and physical layout. We have a NO SMOKING policy in the house. Rates start from $150 per night (4 adults) kids under 16 years old are free.
