Not only will we take great care of you from the time you arrive at the Timber Trail Lodge until you depart, we can also help you plan and arrange the rest of your Timber Trail experience, including arranging luggage transfers, vehicle security, shuttle transport, and bike hire if you need it. As we move into the quieter winter season (June–August), we’ll be operating Thursday through Sunday.

During the early week, we’ll be taking a short break for winter maintenance, but we’re always happy to open for larger groups, private bookings, shuttle services, and bike hire outside of these days. Just get in touch and we’ll make a plan.

Winter is a special time on the Timber Trail 🍂🌿 Crisp mornings, fewer people, and a cosy lodge to come back to after a day exploring the forest, whether you're riding, walking, or running.

We were proud to recently host a wonderful group of international and New Zealand tourism trade representatives ahead of TRENZ 2026 🌿🚴🥾

The group joined us at Timber Trail Lodge & Transport for morning tea, a short introduction to our lodge, shuttle services, bike hire, and experience packages before heading out on a hosted ride to the stunning Maramataha Bridge and back for lunch.

It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase part of what makes the Timber Trail and our region so special. Native forest, incredible scenery, great biking and hiking opportunities, warm hospitality, and seamless transport options in the heart of the North Island.

While the group experienced the trail by bike, we were also excited to introduce some of our walking package ideas and future experiences currently in development.
