Some days remind you why you ride.

Gravel roads carved into canyon walls. Steam rising against snow-capped peaks. Water so clear it doesn't look real. Golden tussock and ancient rock stretching all the way to the mountains.

No crowds. No schedule. Just the hum of the engine, fresh mountain air, and a new view around every bend. This Journey started and finished in the heart of the most amazing motorcycle riding in New Zealand. Queenstown

Days like these don't happen from the couch. The best views are at the end of a gravel road, and there's only one way to get there.

A big thank you to the trusty DR650. It went everywhere I pointed it, from lake shores to the high tops, and never missed a beat.

Some roads just hit different down here.

One minute you’re carving up perfect sealed twisties, next minute the tarmac disappears and you’re somewhere in the back of beyond wondering, “Where the hell does this road go?” 😂

That’s the beauty of riding New Zealand.

Take the big GS. Take the Tenere. Take the little 450. Take whatever puts a grin on your face.

Chase the corners. Find the gravel. Stop for a pie. Get slightly lost. Find an even better road. Repeat.
