First look ✨

Rainforest tumbles to reef on the Daintree Coast, and Ever Bloomfield sits in between. No road reaches it. Most guests arrive by boat, over a wild coastline that stretches out to the Great Barrier Reef.

Fourteen rooms, earthy and grounded - barefoot luxury, shaped and inspired by nature. There’s no fixed itinerary here. Days follow the tide, the weather, and what the Kuku Yalanji guides recommend that morning. Fishing from the jetty. A visit to a rare tropical fruit plantation inland.

Opening November 2026.

Happy 21st birthday to us 🥂🗝️

Twenty-one years ago, Touch of Spice was one person and a short list of villas.

Today it’s a leading South Pacific DMC across New Zealand, Australia and Fiji - one point of contact for a portfolio of villas, lodges and private residences, the most exclusive, authentic experiences, start-to-finish concierge service, and thirteen consecutive years recognised as a Condé Nast Top Travel Specialist.

Same key. A lot more doors.

To every client, partner, agent and supplier who’s been a part of the last 21 years - thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you. 🧡

Kaikōura’s most unique luxury stay is back 🌿

Hapuku Lodge + Tree Houses takes a rather different approach to luxury, in the best possible way. Five treehouses, suspended ten metres up in native kānuka and pūriri; a coastal-inspired spa; nightly stargazing; and Hapuku Kitchen, New Zealand’s only true edible-estate cooking school, just seven minutes away.

The Lodge reopens 26 September (is this correct?) with a refreshed arrival experience and lounges, while the treehouses remain gloriously cozy and characterful.

Then there’s the added bonus of s***m whales offshore, fur seals on the coast and the Seaward Kaikōura Range looming beyond.

Fit for a queen. 👑

Huka Lodge began life as a trout fishing camp on the banks of the Waikato River in 1924, and guests still cast a line from the same waters today. It’s also a royal favourite, the Queen visited four times, making the riverside retreat a particularly regal choice. Today, stays come with five-course dinners by a Michelin-trained chef, with private dining available in the 4,500-bottle w**e cellar, the hedged orchard or the Library. Huka Falls and Wairakei’s fairways are just minutes away.

New to our portfolio: one of the most remote luxury lodges in Australia.

Villas sit along a bluff between the Berkeley River’s gorges and the Timor Sea, Kimberley wilderness on every side. Days run to river cruises past hidden waterfalls, guided walks to ancient rock art, daily fishing, and scenic helicopter flights, with a 20-metre pool and open-air villa bathrooms to return to.

All-inclusive, adults-only, and open just four months a year, from May to August.

The 2026 season sold out within months of opening. 2027 is now taking bookings.

Lake Wānaka on repeat from every window - the Dacha has views like nowhere else.

If you are looking for a base for the spring skiing season, well, you could certainly do worse.

A quick guide to New Zealand’s lesser-known, and seriously underrated, spring skiing season.

Why we love it: longer, sun-soaked days, quieter slopes, and snowfall that can still rival August. Plus, both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are running into October this year.

And spring is the perfect excuse to tack on a trip to Milford Sound, when the landscape is at its most spectacular: wildflowers in bloom, fur seal pups along the coast, and waterfalls cascading down the cliffs as the ice melts.

Make Wanaka your base at Wanaka Haven, where the pool is made for those warmer spring afternoons. Or, sitting high on Queenstown Hill, Matariki is just seven minutes from the airport and an easy walk into town, with ski storage right at the door.

The only resort in Fiji with authentic over-water bungalows, just ten of them, set above a lagoon so calm the Fijian word for it, Likuliku, became the resort’s name. Glass floor panels turn the water beneath your bed into a nightly show once the fish gather under the lanterns. There’s no children here, no day-trippers, just you, your loved one, and the peaceful lagoon.

Saluwaki serves Fijian-inspired tapas once per stay - ember-roasted walu, squid-ink noodles, plated on crockery flown in from Japan. And somewhere on the grounds lives Malolo, one of the last male breeders of Fiji’s crested iguana, a species the island helped bring back from the edge. This is Fiji at its most private.

Coming soon.

An hour north of Sydney, where the bush relents and lets the Hawkesbury take over, something spectacular has been quietly under construction. Grand Saddles Lodge, a rustic-chic sanctuary where horses graze paddocks within view of your private plunge pool, and someone has had the very good sense to put a copper bathtub in every room.
Wander the grounds. Take the private boat out on the Hawkesbury. Or do nothing at all, which paddock-to-plate lunches and long afternoons at the bar tend to encourage. Come evening, there’s a grand piano in the corner and plenty of fun to be had.

Opening 2026. Talk to our travel designers to be among the first through the doors. ✦
