Introducing Ona & Tom, the duo behind Glowy Spirit and Raglan’s very own locals 🌊

Ona comes from Spain with a love for surfing, yoga, and living close to nature. She’s a yoga instructor who brings calm presence and deep care into every massage session.

Tom’s background is in emergency and trauma nursing, where he learned the power of holding others with compassion. His massage practice is grounded, intentional, and deeply restorative.

Together they offer:
-Deep Tissue & Zenthai Shiatsu massage
-Couples Massage, a beautiful way to connect through touch

Their space is a little sanctuary in nature, the perfect place to slow down, breathe, and give back to yourself. If you feel like a hard reset especially during the colder months then simply:

While Nana Jo stepped into her next chapter, Sofia stepped in to help guide the Travellers Rest.

Raglan Travellers Rest has always been about heart, warmth, and connection — and Sofia brought with her just that from the moment she arrived. Originally from Spain, Sofia and her friend Maria landed in New Zealand on a working holiday visa looking for nature, new experiences, chasing a dream of connection, and looking for something a little different from what they knew.

Thanks to Worldpackers, they found their way to this little slice of paradise, and we were lucky enough to welcome them into our world. In Sofia’s words:
“We came seeking reconnection with nature — and ended up in a magnificent house where we were perfectly treated. Thanks to the location, we explored places like Raglan, Ruapuke Beach, Ngarunui, and Bridal Veil Falls. We’re so grateful for this experience and for being able to take care of such a beautiful space. Thank you for letting us stay in paradise.” 🌿

From the moment she arrived, Sophia brought a welcoming energy and genuine care to the Travellers Rest. She’s been an absolute gem — and we’re so stoked to have had her managing the space with such kindness and enthusiasm.

It’s been a minute since the last post — life has a way of picking up pace without warning. One day blends into the next, and before you know it, you’re running on autopilot.Lately, I’ve been leaning into the slower moments — the kind that don’t scream for attention but bring the most peace. Like the quiet crackle of a fire, the warmth creeping back into cold fingers, and the stillness that only winter seems to bring. So here’s to more pauses, more presence, and more appreciation for the little things.
