Expressions of Interest to join our team at the Rakaia River Holiday Park
Rakaia River Holiday Park is located on SH1 in Rakaia, approx 50 kms south of Christchurch, set in spacious established grounds with a mix of cabins, motels, powered and non powered sites.
We are looking for team members for at least our peak season from November 2024 through to February 2025.
We are open to considering different options from an after-school role right through to experienced park managers looking for an opportunity to build further into our industry.
We believe everyone works together to help provide a great guest experience so the role may include one or more of the following that we need help with:
- Cleaning of our amenities block and units
- Gardening, general grounds work and maintenance
- Reception, bookings, guest check-ins
- Laundry duties
- Night duty / security
- Assisting with our kids activity programme
- Providing support to our management
While there may be flexibility with work times and hours per week, as the park operates every day, team members must be available and willing to work during some weekends, public holidays, school holidays and some evenings on a rostered basis.
We are looking for team members who have the following attributes:
- Are friendly with a good sense of humour
- Have good communication skills and are customer service focused
- Are healthy with a reasonable level of fitness
- Have great attention to detail, especially for reception and cleaning duties
- Are completely reliable, punctual and well presented
- Can follow operational procedures and are health & safety conscious
- Are level headed and work well under pressure
- Are flexible, adaptable and resourceful
- Will take extra effort to help ensure our guests have a great experience staying with us
Short listed applicants will need to undertake a clear police check, reference check and ideally have a full NZ drivers licence.
May also suit university students home for the holidays, or Rakaia locals wanting to work locally. We will also consider year 12 and 13 students wanting work if they have a reliable way of getting to work. We may be able to offer hours beyond February at owners discretion, if available.
